Biography:

Chainsaw was founded in 2003 by Pontus Arvidson and Harry Virtanen. Pontus was at the time without a band after the split-up of his old death metal band Incendiary and Harry was looking for a band by the side of his other band Vörgus after leaving Pandemonic. The idea of Chainsaw began to take shape, pure old school thrash metal.

A vocalist was eventually found in Jonas Åhlen and with this line-up the 6-track CD "Into the Pit" was recorded at Solna Soundlabs studios, produced by Mike Wead (Mercyful fate, King Diamond), and was released in april 2005. In late 2005 Jonas and Harry were replaced by vocalist Mario Ramos and bassist Tobbe Backlund and in the beginning of 2006 Christian Skärby joined the band to play lead guitars.
The band recorded a new demo, using the drumming talents of Henrik Söderlund in early 2007, and after several try-outs and even more short term members, drummer Peter Lindqvist finally completed the line-up in the summer of '07.

Currently a new recording is being worked on and will probably be unleashed upon the world within the near future!
